Will I have to be vaccinated to come to the 2021 Washington County Fair?


No, however per CDC guidance at this time, non vaccinated guests will need to wear a face covering. We are following CDC guidelines and asking our guests to exercise personal responsibility.




Will health and safety precautions be updated throughout the summer?


We are following CDC and New York State guidelines.




Will there be hand sanitizer and hand washing stations available?


Yes. Free standing sinks and hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the grounds.




Will there be enhanced cleaning?


Cleaning procedures will be enhanced throughout the Fair including high traffic areas, bleachers, picnic tables, restrooms and more.

What time is the fair open?


Gate hours: *** Please note that Vendors Open at 10:00 am*** Monday, 5 pm to 10 pm Tuesday - Saturday, 9 am to 10 pm Sunday, 9 am to 9 pm Carnival ride hours: Monday, 5 pm to 11 pm Tuesday - Saturday, 12 pm to 11 pm Sunday, 12 pm to 9 pm




How much does it cost?


General Admission is $12 (does not include carnival ride tickets) Kids ages 13 and under are free (does not include carnival ride tickets) Week Pass is $33 (when purchased before August 01) Week Pass is $36 (when purchased after August 01)
Senior Day (Wednesday) $6 for age 62 and over
Children's Day (Thursday) kids school age and under are free Military Appreaciation Day (Thursday) $6 for all Veterans with an ID
Active Military with Military ID free
Parking is free Guests are encouraged to purchase their tickets online and choose the day they want to come.




Are pets allowed?


For the safety of our fairgoers and livestock, pets are NOT allowed. Service dogs as defined by the ADA are allowed.

Can we bring our own food and drinks?


Yes. No alcoholic beverages. No cooking or barbequing. We do not have a place to store your items. We reserve the right to inspect any coolers, bags, and other items.




Is smoking permitted?


Smoking is prohibited on the fairgrounds




Do Military Members receive a discount?


Active Military (with military ID) - free admission Thursday Only - Veterans with a Military ID recieve $6 admission




What is the refund policy?


No refunds.

The fair operates rain or shine.
A few events are weather dependent, please plan accordingly.




Are wheelchairs available at the Fairgrounds?


Southern Adirondack Independent Living (SAIL) provides a limited number of wheelchairs on a first come first serve basis. Wheelchairs cannot be reserved.





Carnival, Tickets and Wristbands

Livestock and Animals

When can I see the animals in the barns?


The animals will be available all week for you to see them and to talk to their farmers,




Can I pet the animals in the barns?


Please ask permission from the farmer before petting any of the animals at the fair.

Animals may bite or kick.

Members of the FFA - Future Farmers of America have plenty of opportunity for petting of baby ducks and chicks in the FFA building.
Wash your hands after petting any animal. Washing stations are located throughout the fair.




Can I feed the animals in the barns?


No. These animals are on strict diets for their health and safety.




What precautions should I take in the barns and after leaving the barns?


Children should be supervised at all times. Avoid animals when they are being walked, they startle easily. Wash hands with soap and water after leaving any animal facility.
