Big Push
Birthing Center

Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30, 2026

Witness the miracle of life unfold, at The Big Push Birthing Center - Washington County Fair.

Visitors to The Big Push Birthing Center, located inside the dairy judging tent, will get a first-hand look at the beauty of new life that farmers get to see on their farms many times throughout the year.  Visitors will have the opportunity to learn how our cows are cared for and how we raise them to be strong and healthy.

The Big Push Birthing Center is staffed by volunteers experienced in caring for dairy cows.  They will answer questions from visitors and will keep the animals comfortable and safe.

An experienced herds person and a veterinarian are on staff to assist the cows with the birthing process.

The Big Push Center will be open from 10 am to 10 pm on Saturday and Sunday.  It is our hope to have a total of six births over the weekend, but much will depend on Mother Nature.  This is a free exhibit for fair goers of all ages and gives them the opportunity to witness the miracle of life unfold.
