Building & Grounds Crew Member 

The Washington County Fair is currently seeking a responsible individual with strong work ethic to join our Facilities team.

This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall operation of the fairgrounds, including buildings, equipment, and event spaces. Duties include general maintenance such as mowing, painting, light repairs, cleaning, and assisting with event setup and support.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to work both independently, and a focus on safety. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is preferred, along with experience in maintenance or manual labor. This role requires regular interaction with staff, vendors, and the public in a professional manner.

This is a physically demanding position that includes both indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Candidates must be able to lift 50–75 pounds and be available for evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during Fair week.

Fair Week Milking Parlor Attendant 

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Milking Parlor Attendant to support daily operations at the fairgrounds’ dairy facility.

This is a hands-on role that requires prior experience working with dairy cattle and in a milking parlor environment. The ideal candidate understands proper milking procedures, sanitation protocols, animal handling, and the importance of maintaining a clean, efficient parlor.

📍 On-site at the Fairgrounds during Fair Week 8/24-30 2026
🕒 Early mornings & flexible hours required
💪 Physically active work environment

Experience required:
• Working in a milking parlor setting
• Handling and moving dairy cattle safely
• Following strict sanitation and milk handling procedures
• Recognizing animal health concerns
• General barn and equipment upkeep
